Those without a Greek AFM are initially verified electronically using the necessary documents based on their country of origin. After that, they must receive final approval from the responsible officer of the electronic auction in order to register in the system and participate in the process.
No, you cannot view the interior condition of the property - and this is the only limitation of the auction process. A key advantage when purchasing a property through auction is the significantly lower price compared to its market value, along with the importance of its location.
To participate in an electronic auction, you must deposit an amount equal to 30% of the starting price into a protected (non-seizable) bank account designated by the auction notary. This deposit must be made at least three working days before the auction date.
If you are not the winning bidder (highest bidder), the amount you deposited as a guarantee will be fully refunded to your bank account within a few working days, following confirmation from the auction officer.
